Corinthians returned to training at CT Joaquim Grava on Tuesday afternoon after lifting the Supercopa do Brasil, with Tchoca back in the group.
According to Globo.com, João Pedro Tchoca took part in his first session since a proposed move to Torino fell through. The centre-back completed medical checks in recent days and was cleared to train without restrictions.
Memphis and Yuri Alberto did not train. The No 10 remained indoors for recovery work, while the centre-forward, the club’s top scorer, is still recovering from a virus that almost kept him out of the final against Flamengo in Brasília.
Before the session began, Dorival Júnior addressed the squad on the pitch for about 15 minutes. Media were then allowed to watch a small-sided drill with the group split into two teams.
Corinthians host Capivariano at Neo Química Arena on Thursday at 20:30 Brasília time in the sixth round of the Campeonato Paulista. Dorival Júnior’s side have eight points and sit seventh in the state competition.
