During the second half of Manchester City’s 2-all draw with Brentford last night, Pep Guardiola’s side squandered several good chances before Brentford’s late fightback. Pep Guardiola spoke about this issue following his team’s draw at the GTech Community Stadium. It is well known by now that City are on the verge of completing a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Omar Marmoush. Based on last night’s match, Manchester City has to conclude the deal as quickly as possible to try and fix the issue that was apparent last night.

Speaking after his team’s draw with Brentford, Pep Guardiola believed if his team had made better decisions in the final third, they would’ve won the match. He told the media post-game: “Today we produce a lot of actions, but we didn’t finish. Savinho, Phil, Matheus, Erling have incredible pace, but we didn’t finish. The shot on the post from Savinho, actions from Erling, sometimes it happens. It’s not easy for players to take right decisions all the time properly at the speed they go.

Omar Marmoush would help Manchester City solve the issue that Pep Guardiola spoke of post-game.

Manchester City failed to take several good chances yesterday against Brentford. Although, the same can be said for last night’s hosts. But from a City point of view what we saw last night has been an issue all season. Florian Plettenberg has reported on X that Manchester City are close to finalizing a deal for Marmoush. The quicker they can bring him in the better it will be for Pep Guardiola’s side. The performance of Omar Marmoush last night for Eintracht Frankfurt further illustrated this point.

Eintracht Frankfurt picked up a 4-1 win over SC Freiburg last night. Omar Marmoush put in a powerful display to help his team pick up a vital win. He scored one and picked up two assists as he starred for Eintracht Frankfurt. Marmoush was at the heart of everything for his team going forward and you get the impression that his game and playing style will immediately slot into Pep Guardiola’s squad. The thought of the Egyptian international getting into some of the positions we saw Matheus Nunes, Savinho and Erling Haaland got themselves in last night is a tantalising one. Manchester City need another attacking weapon and that’s what Marmoush would be.

The quicker Manchester City can finalise a deal to sign Omar Marmoush the better. They are in desperate need of another quality attacking player and that’s what Marmoush is. His performance for Eintracht Frankfurt last night further illustrated this and the hope is now that City can quickly conclude a deal for the dynamic attacker.
