Senne Lammens is expected to keep his place in the Manchester United starting XI when they take on Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, and Thibaut Courtois has sent a message to his compatriot ahead of the clash.

The Red Devils goalkeeper kept a clean sheet in his Premier League debut against Sunderland at Old Trafford before the international break.

Man United head coach Ruben Amorim will be sticking with Lammens in goal for the trip to Liverpool from the look of things, and his Real Madrid counterpart has told him what to expect against the Reds at their famous home ground.

“It’s a hard stadium,” Courtois told the Sun.

“Maybe I should tell him to clap the home fans when he arrives at the Kop!

“His first game was a flavour of what United will get. He’s a tall guy, he is not afraid to come on crosses and he’s a kid with personality.

“I’m sure he can do a good job. He has a tough game this weekend so I hope if he plays, it will go well for him. All the best to him.”

Liverpool have lost their last three games across all competitions but have lost only three of their past 83 Premier League games at Anfield across five seasons.

They will be desperate to bounce back against Man United and Amorim and his men have to get it right if they want to leave with a result.

The Red Devils will need Lammens to produce some stunning saves and put in some heroic displays against the reigning champions, and he will be eager to prove himself.

Liverpool are favourites heading into the game despite their current woes, and Man United will be desperate to prove their detractors wrong.

January 2016 was the last time the Red Devils won at Anfield and they will need more than luck to pick up all three points at a tough ground.
