Tottenham’s star Mohammed Kudus misses Ghana’s Asian tour
Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed that Mohammed Kudus will not join the Ghana national team for their upcoming Kirin Cup friendlies against Japan & South Korea after sustaining minor injury.
The 24 year old attacking midfielder who has missed Spurs last two Premier League match, has been granted permission by Ghana’s technical staff to stay in London and continue his recovery.
"Kudus has been excused from international duty to focus on rehabilitation" Ghana’s FA stated confirming his absence from the Asian tour.
Spurs manager Thomas Frank played down concerns revealing that the issue is not serious and expressing confidence that Kudus will be fit in time for the North London Derby against Arsenal on 23 November.
"Very confident that he should be available for the next one" Frank said after Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United. "He’ll remain at Hotspur Way during the break to complete his recovery"
For Otto Addo and the Black Stars, Kudus withdrawal is blow ahead of their tests against two Asian heavyweight. The friendlies part of Ghana’s broader preparations for AFCON 2025 qualifiers, were expected to help fine-tune the squad’s attacking combinations.
