News of a reported Celtic move for former fans favourite Kieran Tierney has gone a bit cold recently, but Sky Sports man Anthony Joseph last night reported that talks between both clubs are said to be progressing well over a proposed pre-contract agreement.
Celtic are also discussing a loan deal until the summer with Arsenal but that is unlikely to progress until the end of the January transfer window as the Premier League side are currently using Tierney as a named substitute in their games.

Anthony further reported that Celtic are in talks with Norwegian side Sarpsborg over a deal for Norwegian under 21 winger Sondre Orjasaeter. The 21 year old has been tracked by the club for a few months now, and with the imminent departure of Luis Palma, Brendan Rodgers is wasting no time in swooping for a replacement.
Orjasaeter, who has two years remaining on his contract at Sarpsborg, is valued at around £7m and Celtic join the likes of Fiorentina, Parma and Nice in the race for Orjasaeter’s signature.
While KT needs no introduction to the Celtic supporters, Orjasaeter will be something of an unknown quantity, but he’s highly rated with a number of clubs interested in his services, so if we manage to persuade him to move to Glasgow, it should be seen as something of a coup.

He’s a player that clearly fits our transfer strategy, so I’d imagine there is a lot of substance to the Sky Sports report.
Celtic are unable to register any new signings for the Champions League matches this month. Their last league phase match is on 29 January at Villa Park in Birmingham against Aston Villa and if they make it through to the knockouts, new signings can be registered in February. Celtic can reach the knockout rounds with a victory over the Switzerland Champions Young Boys on 22 January at Celtic Park

If we manage to sign Orjasaeter and Kieran Tierney it will represent a terrific start to the transfer window and hopefully both players will be looking forward to the Champions League knock-out round with their new club.
