Valencia departures moving slowly as Almeida, Diakhaby and Foulquier face uncertain futures | OneFootball

Valencia have, for now, closed their intake after signing Dieng and De Haas in winter and Sato early this summer, with Guido Rodríguez staying. Needs remain at right-back and in attack, and the departures plan is moving slowly with several cases active.

Almeida is the most prominent exit candidate and Valencia are still waiting for a firm bid, with a fee around three million euros reported by Radio Marca. He stayed last summer and even renewed despite limited impact as he briefly regained a starting place. He never settled beyond a run from matchday 11 to 19, when Valencia won only one game.

Competition is heavy in midfield with Guido Rodríguez, Dieng, Pepelu, Javi Guerra and Ugrinic, and Sato can operate as the 10. During medicals he said he did not know if he would stay.

Out wide, Valencia are working on multiple fronts, including Ramazani, and have enquired domestically about loan options. Two signings there could squeeze Danjuma, he did not start any of the last 10 league games after a penalty miss against Oviedo. Even so, he currently does not favour leaving, so an exit will not be simple.

Raba began pre-season close to the door, yet without new wingers he could feature at the start of LaLiga.

Diakhaby’s situation is complicated. He contributes when fit, but his salary is high and combining it with Guido Rodríguez’s return and Gayà’s wage was deemed unworkable in May. Now everything is on standby and he could even stay.

Foulquier signed a plus-two last year, wants to remain and is in no rush. Right-back recruitment has been badly handled, and unless two arrive and a bid appears, he is likely to stay.
