Valencia head into Sunday’s match against Real Madrid with defensive concerns, as Rubén Iranzo is out and both full backs face uncertainty.
According to Superdeporte, Carlos Corberán addressed the situation at Paterna, defending Dimitri Foulquier and outlining Thierry Rendall’s status while urging calm.
Corberán said Iranzo is the confirmed absentee and is undergoing tests today, with the staff hoping the damage is minimal.
Under scrutiny after his renewal, Foulquier is managing discomfort yet remains focused on preparing to deliver his best. The coach underlined that intense demands come with representing a club of Valencia’s stature.
Thierry could be included if he completes this evening’s session without issues, but he will not start even if cleared to return. The staff are handling his comeback with caution.
Corberán acknowledged that absences have an impact but refused to lean on them, stressing work and collective responsibility before facing one of the league’s strongest attacks.
