Vasco 2-1 Fluminense sets Copa do Brasil 2025 crowd and revenue records | OneFootball

Vasco came from behind to beat Fluminense 2-1 in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil semi-final.

According to Globo.com, the match set new highs for paying attendance, total attendance and gate receipts in this year’s competition.

The paying crowd was 61,983, surpassing the previous best of 60,394 at Flamengo 0-1 Atlético-MG at the Maracanã. Total attendance reached 64,990, eclipsing the 64,681 from the same Flamengo 0-1 Atlético-MG fixture.

Gate receipts hit R$ 7,453,018.50, topping the R$ 6,480,227.00 recorded at Cruzeiro 2-0 Atlético-MG at the Mineirão.

In the other semi-final, Corinthians beat Cruzeiro 1-0 at the Mineirão, with a total crowd of 59,052, the fourth largest of the tournament behind Thursday’s game and the two Atlético-MG ties noted above.

As the home side, Vasco’s fans taunted Fluminense with a mosaic showing a tricolour shirt marked with a C and the phrase “O Maraca é nosso”.
