Vasco without Rayan for Flamengo clássico amid Bournemouth negotiations | OneFootball

According to Coluna Do Fla, Vasco will be without striker Rayan for the clássico against Flamengo, as he is being held back amid active talks with Bournemouth.

He has been omitted to avoid risks while negotiations continue, leaving Vasco short of a key attacking option.

Bournemouth, from the Premier League, have tabled an offer worth 35 million euros, including bonuses, around R$ 220 million at the current rate.

Vasco opened the Campeonato Carioca with a 4-2 home win over Maricá at São Januário, then drew 0-0 with Nova Iguaçu, and sit second in Group A on four points.

Flamengo have yet to win in the competition, having fielded their under-20 side while the first team conduct pre-season, though it is likely they use some players in the clássico.

The match is scheduled for Wednesday 21 at 21:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã, part of the third round of the Campeonato Carioca.
