(Video) Onana’s Nightmare Deepens With Shock Fan Clash After World Cup Qualifier
Andre Onana’s troubles deepened after the Cameroon goalkeeper & Man United outcast was caught on video shoving Cape Verde supporter following his side’s surprise 1 - 0 defeat in the 2026 World cup qualifiers.
Onana who recently lost his starting spot at United after repeated errors has agreed loan move to Trabzonspor until 30 Jun 2026.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, all paperwork has been completed with the deal carrying no fee or purchase option.
However the Cameroonian will benefit from signing bonuses & performance incentives.
This exit marks part of coach Ruben Amorim’s rebuilding plan at Man United clearing out players no longer in his long term strategy.
The goalkeeper’s problems extended to international duty. Onana was directly involved in Cape Verde’s decisive goal choosing to remain on his line as Dailon Livramento scored freely sealing result that put Cape Verde top of the group.
Tensions boiled over at full time when fans invaded the pitch. A Cape Verde supporter approached Onana for a selfie but the frustrated keeper lashed out and pushed him in the face sparking outrage across African media.
It remains unclear whether FIFA or the Cameroonian FA'll sanction the player but the incident has already tarnished his image further.
