Former Beşiktaş striker Vincent Aboubakar has sparked a fresh wave of debate in Turkey after questioning Victor Osimhen's status.

Speaking on Ertem Şener's YouTube channel, the Cameroonian forward suggested that the Nigerian mainly benefits from Galatasaray's collective strength. For Aboubakar, the hierarchy is clear:

Galatasaray works well around Osimhen. But if you have to compare, Tammy Abraham would perform better in this team. He’s more complete.

The Cameroonian added that while Osimhen remains a top-class goalscorer, he’s not necessarily a complete striker:

Icardi plays better football. Osimhen is all about finishing. Without the goals, he offers less.

This debate comes at a time of growing doubt. Victor Osimhen is having a mixed start to the season: 3 goals in 10 Süper Lig matches. Meanwhile, other strikers are shining: Onuachu (11 goals), Shomurodov (10), En-Nesyri and Icardi (7 each).
