Aston Villa entertained Newcastle United at Villa Park earlier this evening as they looked to secure a good result at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a dream start to the game as they scored the opening goal in the first minute when Ollie Watkins found the back of the net. However, Fabian Schar equalised for Newcastle in the 18th minute as the two sides went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.

Ian Maatsen put Aston Villa ahead in the 64th minute. Just nine minutes later, Unai Emery’s men went 3-1 up due to an unfortunate own goal from Dan Burn. Amadou Onana added another goal in the 75th minute as the Villans secured a dominant 4-1 win at Villa Park.
