Erik ten Hag is giving Jadon Sancho a fresh opportunity at Manchester United are telling the winger he has built a bridge over their disagreement that threatened to end the winger’s Old Trafford career.

Following a public spat between the pair last September, Sancho was frozen out of the first-team and forbidden from taking part in any first-team duties. The England international was forced to train with the youth players before being sent on loan to Borussia Dortmund in January.

It came as a shock to most that Sancho returned to first-team training at United last week. However, it has since emerged that the winger will be given a second chance after clear-the-air talks at Carrington.

Sancho, 24, was fully expected to leave the club this summer – even on loan. The biggest obstacle would’ve been acquiring a decent fee for his signature. Perhaps United are keeping him in attempt to raise his value over the coming season?

When asked about Sancho, Ten Hag said (via Manchester Evening News): “As we said, we draw the line. Manchester United need good players and Jadon is a good player. We have drawn that line and we move on.”

An acceptable Sancho offer could change United’s stance

If Dortmund want to suddenly put their money where they mouth has been for the past few months, United may agree to selling Sancho.

The Bundesliga outfit just need to make that offer.

It wasn’t long ago they thought Sancho was the best thing since sliced pan.
