Liam Rosenior’s straw-clutching after yet another defeat is just not going to go down very well with the Chelsea fans today.

After a defeat, nobody wants to hear stuff like this – blowing your own trumpet of trying to grasp onto some of the previous games. Many Chelsea fans have major concerns with how things are going at this club right now and with yet another manager in place, many of them still don’t see any improvements or any steps forward. They just see the same old problems at this club under this ownership group.

There’s nothing wrong with trying to draw on positives though, but there is a time and a place, and right now, that is not going to be well received by the majority of the Chelsea fan base, I can assure you of that just by scrolling my X feed last night and this morning.

In some quotes picked up on X, Rosenior said after the 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United last night:

“From my time with the group, we’re third in the league. Sometimes it feels like that’s not the case. The last league game we played, we won 4-1 at Aston Villa.”

Also, a lot of this is down to how poor the rest of the teams have been around us as well!

In other news…

Rosenior also summed up Chelsea’s issues after yet another defeat on the pitch by saying they could be contained in two main “aspects.”

In a situation that has caused a lot of drama and debate, the manager also got side-tracked talking about the ridiculous pre-match huddle situation.
