The winger is set to join on loan, with an option to make the move permanent
The 22-year-old began his medical on Tuesday night ahead of a joining on a loan move until the end of the season.
Standard Sport understands the Hammers will hold an option to make the move permanent.
Lamadrid will initially join up with West Ham’s development squad, with a deal expected to be concluded by the end of the week.
West Ham have been busy in the January transfer window, bringing in strikers Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe.
Lamadrid plays as a left winger for Venezuelan first division team Deportivo La Guaira, and made his international debut for Venezuela in November 2025.
Five points from safety, Nuno remains keen to make additions to his first-team squad.
West Ham are in the market for a goalkeeper to provide competition for Alphonse Areola, and entered negotiations for Al Nassr shot-stopper Bento earlier in the window.
The Hammers’ interest in a new keeper comes just five months after signing Mads Hermansen from Leicester City for £18million.
Hermansen has played just four league games this season, and made his first start since September in West Ham’s extra-time victory over QPR in the FA Cup at the start of January.
The Danish keeper wants to stay and fight for his place at West Ham but, as Standard Sport reported, has loan interest from clubs in England and Europe.
