Alisson visits former Roma colleague ahead of Man City vs. Napoli

Alisson, who played in goal for Liverpool in their 3-2 win over Atletico Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday evening, made the short journey over to Manchester on Thursday to swing by the Napoli team hotel, pictures confirm.

As per Corriere dello Sport, the Liverpool stopper was there specifically to visit and catch up with his compatriot and former Roma teammate Juan Jesus.

The Brazilian pair spent two seasons together at the Stadio Olimpico between 2016 and 2018, and were both part of the Giallorossi squad that reached the Champions League semi-finals in 2017-18, which included the memorable 3-0 victory over Barcelona in the quarter-final second leg.

Together, Alisson and Juan Jesus were part of a Roma side that did not concede a single goal in the Champions League until their quarter-final tie against Barcelona, which finished 4-4 on aggregate, with the Giallorossi progressing on the now-defunct away goals rule.
