Will Real Madrid have Kylian Mbappé available vs Getafe? | OneFootball

An early insight into the status of Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé for the club’s upcoming meeting with Getafe has on Saturday been provided.

This of course comes fresh off the 26-year-old setting alarm bells sounding across Spain’s capital once more yesterday evening.

Mbappé was back in action on the international front on Friday, playing a starring role in an eventual 3-0 World Cup qualification victory for France over Azerbaijan.

Late in proceedings in Paris, however, the in-form frontman was forced to limp off. This came owing to a problem in the same ankle which Mbappé injured against Villarreal last weekend.

The former PSG standout, in turn, has since returned to base in Madrid for a round of treatment.

Mbappé’s status to face Getafe in Real Madrid’s post-international break return to action was therefore considered as being firmly up in the air.

If the latest word stemming from the media on Saturday is anything to go by, though, then those of a Blancos persuasion need not fret.

As per a report from club insider Miguel Ángel Díaz of COPE:

‘It is expected that he will train with the group this week. He will be available against Getafe.’
