Wolves will receive £117.7m from Premier League distributions after relegation, while Aston Villa collect £182.6m for finishing fourth.

The Athletic reports that clubs will share more than £3 billion, the largest sum in the competition’s history. Overseas television deals account for around half of payments, and a new domestic cycle saw more UK live matches than ever before.

Wolves’ eight-year top-flight stay is over after they ended bottom. Their payout is around £1.6m less than 19th-placed Burnley on £118.1m. Wolves could have overtaken Burnley on the final day with a win at Turf Moor.

Villa’s fourth place followed a last-day victory over Manchester City, securing a sizeable distribution. Their share trails only Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United.

At the top, Arsenal receive £198.7m, Manchester City £192.5m and Manchester United £191.5m, with Liverpool on £181.8m. Relegated sides now move on to parachute payments, which are far below Premier League levels.
