Wolves owner Fosun reported a near 10 percent revenue drop, about £2 billion, in its 2025 results. According to ExpressAndStar.com, the Shanghai group posted almost £19 billion in revenue and industrial operating profit of about £438 million for the 12 months to 31 December 2025.
That was down 9.7 percent on 2024, when revenue reached £21 billion and profits were about £555 million.
Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed a £15.3 million loss for 2024/25 as its latest accounts were published. The club has posted losses in each of the last four years, last making a profit of £18.4 million in 2020/21. Wolves sit bottom of the Premier League, with relegation a near certainty.
Fosun said its four core subsidiaries generated around £14 billion, 74 percent of total revenue. Overseas revenue was about £10.4 billion, 54.7 percent of the total, up 5.4 percent year on year.
The group is streamlining and focusing on core businesses and booked an accounting loss of roughly £2.5 billion, mainly linked to real estate values and non-core assets. It said this did not affect operations or cash flow.
Chairman Guo Guangchang told shareholders the loss reflected prudent non-cash impairments, not weaker fundamentals, and said core areas such as pharmaceuticals and insurance continue to grow. The business aims in the medium term to restore annual profits to about £1.09 billion and avoid short term gains.
