Wolves will lose only two players to the Africa Cup of Nations, rather than five initially feared, according to ExpressAndStar.com.

Defender Emmanuel Agbadou, called up by Ivory Coast, is the only senior departure. The tournament runs from 21 December to 18 January, and players must report by 15 December, so he is available to face Arsenal tomorrow evening, Saturday 13 December.

Academy product Tawanda Chirewa has been named by Zimbabwe and is the other Wolves player heading to the finals. He has had more chances since Rob Edwards became head coach, though he has yet to nail down a first-team place.

Wolves had expected up to five absences, but two surprise omissions and an injury altered the picture. Marshall Munetsi misses out for Zimbabwe with a calf problem that Edwards said could rule him out for around six weeks.

Jackson Tchatchoua was also overlooked by Cameroon. There has been controversy over omissions and an ongoing feud that may see the manager depart after two different squads were named, neither including Tchatchoua.

Nigeria have not selected Tolu Arokodare, opting instead for Paul Onuachu of Trabzonspor. Arokodare has scored twice this season, both in the Carabao Cup, and has struggled to secure a regular place since his £22.5 million summer move, while recent Nigeria displays have also counted against him.
