Looking ahead to the 2026 World Cup next summer, Aurélien Tchouaméni exudes unwavering confidence.
The French national team has qualified for the 2026 World Cup and will undoubtedly be among the tournament favorites next summer. In a lengthy interview with L'Équipe, Aurélien Tchouaméni expressed his confidence in Les Bleus' chances of success in America.
"I'm confident because I know we've got everything it takes. Am I motivated by my role as a leader? Honestly, I just want to win. I don't want to go back to my club knowing that some guy out there beat us..." he revealed.
For the Real Madrid midfielder, winning the 2026 World Cup for Didier Deschamps would be the perfect send-off: "I joined the national team at 21. When he leaves, I'll be 26. I think every guy in the dressing room wants to give him that final gift. Then again, he's already won plenty (smiles)."
