Corinthians extended their winless run with a 1-1 draw against Flamengo in front of 41,000 at Neo Química Arena in the Brasileirão. According to Meu Timao, Yuri Alberto’s goal was his first since returning from a left biceps femoris injury.
Flamengo took the lead before the interval. The equaliser came in the first half after a long passing move, Memphis Depay released Matheus Bidu down the left and the full-back crossed for Yuri Alberto to finish past Rossi.
In stoppage time, Garro lifted the ball into the area, Gustavo Henrique cushioned it and Gui Negão failed to connect. The loose ball reached Yuri Alberto, who controlled with his back to goal, spun and drove a shot that Rossi saved superbly to deny a winner.
Sunday’s strike moved Flamengo into joint second among the teams he has scored against most. They are level with São Paulo and Atlético-GO on seven goals each, with only Santos ahead on eight.
Three of those seven came for Internacional, all in a single match, a 4-0 league win. The other four were for Corinthians, starting with a 2-1 Brasileirão victory in 2022 and a 2-1 league defeat last year. The two most recent arrived this year, in a 2-0 Supercopa do Brasil win and in this 1-1 league draw.
