Zakaria Labyad expected to bolster Corinthians against Coritiba after recent training | OneFootball

Zakaria Labyad could be available to Dorival Júnior for the first time since joining Corinthians, with a spot in the squad for Coritiba possible.

According to Meu Timao, the Moroccan has strung together training sessions at the club in recent days and has performed well in this work.

Labyad has not played since November 2025, when he last featured for Dalian Yingbo in China. Since arriving in February, he has undergone a physical reconditioning programme.

The 32-year-old has arrived to bolster the attacking options in midfield. He produced 10 goal involvements in 25 appearances last season, and his standout 2017/18 with FC Utrecht brought 15 goals and nine assists.

Corinthians face Coritiba on 11 at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena in the fifth round of the Brasileirão. Dorival’s side sit third with seven points, three fewer than Palmeiras and São Paulo, who lead the table.
