Transfermarkt have just released their December price update for the Premier League, and despite a recent wobble Chelsea’s good start to the season has meant they’ve got 3 of the top 10 biggest risers in the division.

While Erling Haaland somehow finds his price still rising – to an insane €200m now – there are Blues hot on his heels. You can see the biggest price rises in the helpful graphic below.

The biggest Premier League price changes this month.

It should be no surprise that Estevao Willian is the man to match Haaland’s €20m rise since the summer. The winger is now valued at €80m after starting his time in London even more impressively than expected.

Reece James is in fourth place, and he’s rather in the opposite situation – he’s a world class player in his peak years, but is only now seeing his value bounce back after years of injury.

The third man on the list is Moises Caicedo, who is another world class player in his peak years, just getting more and more value added as he continues to prove he’s one of the division’s very best.

We look forward to the next update of this list – if Chelsea keep doing well, there’s no reason we should see more players put into the equation. The likes of Trevoh Chalobah, Wesley Fofana and Pedro Neto should be due a boost if they keep up their current form.

In other news…

Gianfranco Zola has been speaking about Enzo Maresca, and he’s more positive about the coach than some fans might be at the moment.

Chelsea’s social media silence over one player this week was very notable – it doesn’t look like things are getting sorted out in this case anytime soon.
