English midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently training at Arsenal as he plots his next move, according to Sky Sports.

The former Arsenal star is a free agent after Turkish Super Lig club Besiktas terminated his contract in August.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made 198 appearances for the Emirates Stadium club before leaving for Liverpool in 2017 after six seasons with the Gunners.

The 32-year-old has been training with the Arsenal under-21s, but manager Mikel Arteta could look to involve him with the first team, having done so with Tyreece John-Jules.

The former Arsenal striker trained with the Gunners under-21s to maintain his fitness and was spotted training with the first-team before their Champions League game against Atletico Madrid last month.

He was a free agent after Crawley Town released him in the summer, but he has since joined Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock on a short-term deal until January.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has had offers since becoming a free agent, but he prefers to remain in England and will continue to look for opportunities.

The Gunners have done well to welcome him back and allow him to use their facilities, and Oxlade-Chamberlain will be grateful for the opportunity.

Despite his availability, Arsenal have no plans to sign him as they are well-stocked in attack and are looking to hand opportunities to their fringe players in the position.

The Gunners are six points clear at the top of the Premier League table after ten games.

They did not concede a goal in six games across all competitions last month, and started November with a 2-0 victory over Burnley on Saturday.

Arsenal are back in action tomorrow with a trip to Czechia to take on Slavia Prague in the Champions League, and they will fancy their chances of picking up all three points.
