Barcelona interested in 23-year-old Argentine striker with 10 goals; Chelsea, AC Milan also keen | OneFootball

FC Barcelona will enter the transfer market for a new centre-forward in the summer of 2026, as Robert Lewandowski’s contract expires at the end of the season.

As things stand, there are no plans to offer a renewal to the 37-year-old forward and rope in a replacement, with several names being considered as possible targets.

Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland remain the dream options, but are considered out of reach given the club’s financial situation.

Victor Osimhen has also been identified as an option, while younger, more affordable targets like Etta Eyong and Fisnik Asllani are also being monitored.

Joaquin Panichelli also on Barcelona’s radars

Now, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t AS), Barcelona have also shown an interest in RC Strasbourg striker Joaquin Panichelli.

The 23-year-old Argentine centre-forward is enjoying an excellent start to the season in Ligue 1, having already netted ten goals in 13 games across all competitions.

The striker spent time in Spain, having been at Alaves for 18 months before joining La Liga 2 side Mirandes on loan last season. During his time at the second division club, he scored 21 goals in 44 matches, almost leading them to promotion to La Liga.

Panichelli’s raw talent and eye for a goal have attracted admirers from across Europe, with Barcelona among the clubs interested.

However, apart from the La Liga champions, Premier League heavy-spenders Chelsea are also monitoring the former River Plate youngster and may have an edge, given that the Blues and Strasbourg have the same owners.

Meanwhile, AC Milan in Italy have also taken note of Panichelli’s talent and have shown an interest.

The 23-year-old striker is contracted with the Ligue 1 outfit until the summer of 2030. If he continues to perform like this for the rest of the season, the Argentine could command a significant transfer fee come summer.
