PSG returned to the Ligue 1 summit on matchday 19, Marseille floored Lens and Endrick powered Lyon, while Monaco and Lille stumbled.
Le Progres reports that Paris laboured at Auxerre until Bradley Barcola struck on 80 minutes to clinch a 1-0 win and reclaim first place from Lens. A decisive Champions League date with Newcastle on Wednesday will determine their direct route to the last 16.
Ethan Nwaneri, on loan from Arsenal, scored on 13 minutes as Marseille beat Lens 3-1. Lens’s run ended at eight league wins and 10 in all competitions, their best, and Pierre Sage’s side surrendered top spot but remain ahead of targets.
At Metz, Endrick completed a hat-trick as Lyon won 5-2. After four appearances, the Brazilian loanee has revitalised OL’s attack.
At Nantes, home fans chanted that they are in Ligue 2 during a 4-1 defeat by Nice. The Canaries are 16th, stuck in the play-off place as the gap widens.
Monaco’s slide continued with a flat 0-0 at Le Havre, leaving them 10th. Coach Sébastien Pocognoli, who replaced Adi Hutter in autumn, is under pressure before Wednesday’s decisive Juventus tie, with Champions League play-off status uncertain.
Lille’s crisis deepened after a 4-1 home loss to Strasbourg, their fifth defeat in five games in 2026. Despite trying to attack, nothing went for the hosts.
Elsewhere, Lorient won 2-0 at Rennes, Toulouse triumphed 2-0 at Brest, and Paris FC drew 0-0 with Angers.
