The centre-back was already seen as a possible candidate to leave in previous transfer windows, but ended up staying in Munich. Now new statements from his advisor are causing fresh speculation

Journalist Alper Yemeniciler reported on Turkish broadcaster HT Spor about a conversation with the South Korean’s agent, who told him: „There is currently no reason why we have to leave immediately. We don’t know the situation at Bayern yet, but we are examining our options.“ These words make you sit up and take notice – especially with a view to the upcoming transfer window

There is already concrete interest from Turkey. „He said that not only Fenerbahçe, but also Beşiktaş and Galatasaray had made contact with us,“ Yemeniciler continued. Particularly interesting: „He explained that Fenerbahçe would be the first option we would prefer if we were to make a decision.“

It seems clear that the market for Kim is developing – and several clubs are monitoring his situation very closely. However, whether a transfer actually takes place depends largely on the sporting prospects at FC Bayern

Kim’s role remains crucial
