Newcastle United will lock horns with West Ham United at the London Stadium on Sunday as they look to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies managed to earn a solid 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the EFL Cup recently, which should give them a ton of confidence ahead of this game.
Eddie Howe will set his side up in a 4-3-3 formation and is expected to make a handful of changes to his first XI for this clash. Sven Botman, Anthony Gordon and Kieran Trippier could all play from the start of this game.
Nick Pope will function in between the sticks for the Magpies after he was rested in midweek. Malick Thiaw will resume his partnership with Sven Botman at the heart of the Newcastle backline as they focus on keeping things solid at the back during the 90 minutes.
Kieran Trippier would try to catch the eye as the right-back, while Dan Burn hopes to prove his worth on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would get the freedom to go forward and express themselves in the West Ham half.
Fabian Schar will provide cover for the centre-back positions on the bench.

Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes will make up Newcastle’s midfield. All three of them need to move the ball well if they want to create some inviting chances in the final third.
Joe Willock will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Anthony Gordon will hope to give a good account of himself on the left flank, while Jacob Murphy looks to impress as the right-sided wide player.
Nick Woltemade will spearhead Newcastle’s attack up top. He would be eager to find the back of the net versus the Hammers after scoring a goal in midweek.
Anthony Elanga and Harvey Barnes will have to settle for a spot on the bench as they wait for their chance to make an impact in the latter stages of the game if required.
