Yet another controversy has erupted for Marc Brys, head coach of Cameroon's Indomitable Lions.

Ahead of the match against DR Congo in the 2026 World Cup playoffs, a fresh storm is brewing around the Cameroonian national team. Former international Serge Branco claims that Marc Brys has already found his next destination—and it could well be in Saudi Arabia. Branco made this revelation during an appearance on his social media.

"We have the playoffs in a few days, but our coach is already making us feel like we’re out... His contract runs until December, and sensing the tide turning, he’s focused on his own career. This time, he refused to come to Cameroon to announce his squad list. He said he was in Saudi Arabia for personal reasons. These reasons make it clear he’s negotiating a contract with a Saudi club starting in January. (...) The coach has decided not to return to Cameroon, because he already considers us eliminated, and you can see it in his attitude,"
