Corinthians confirm Yuri Alberto grade two left hamstring injury | OneFootball

Corinthians have confirmed a grade two injury to Yuri Alberto's left biceps femoris.

The club said in a statement that the centre-forward has begun rehabilitation with physiotherapists at CT Joaquim Grava, and did not set a return date.

He was hurt on Sunday at the Estádio Primeiro de Maio during the Campeonato Paulista classification phase match against São Bernardo.

After a sprint in a challenge, the number nine felt pain in the back of his left thigh, went to ground in tears, and left the pitch supported by physio Amil Henrique and forward Vitinho.

On Monday morning he underwent an MRI scan which corroborated the medical department's diagnosis.

The typical rehabilitation window for such injuries is four to six weeks.

With one of their main players unavailable for the Campeonato Paulista knockout phase, Corinthians will rely on Gui Negão and Pedro Raul to lead the line.
