Corinthians discover group stage fixtures for Women's Libertadores

On the morning of Monday, September 8, Conmebol released the match schedule for the Women's Libertadores, which takes place in October. As the current champions, Corinthians have been selected to play the opening match, which will be held on the 2nd. The final is scheduled for the 18th.

Just like in recent editions, the Libertadores will be held in a short format, hosted in only one country. As mentioned, the Brabas’ first match will be on the 2nd, at 4pm (Brasília time), against the representative from Ecuador—LDU or Independiente del Valle. The match will take place on the pitch of Estádio Florencio Sola.

The opponent for the second round has already been determined. Corinthians will face Always Ready, from Bolivia, on October 5, Sunday, again at 4pm, but this time at Estádio Nuevo Francisco Caldeira.

To close out the group stage, the People’s Team will play on Wednesday, October 8, against the representative from Colombia, who will be decided in the match between Santa Fe and Deportivo Cali. The game will once again take place at Estádio Florencio Sola, starting at 8pm.

Even without all teams defined, Conmebol has already released the dates for the knockout stage: quarterfinals, semifinals, and final. In addition to the grand final, which will take place on the 18th as mentioned, the quarterfinals are scheduled for the 11th, a Saturday, and the semifinals for the 14th, Tuesday.
