Corinthians host Pinheiros in crucial Paulista basketball playoffs clash

On the evening of this Thursday, 25, Corinthians hosts Esporte Clube Pinheiros for a decisive game of the quarterfinals of the Paulista Basketball Championship. After a victory each in the series, Timão tries to take advantage of the home factor to advance in the competition. The ball goes up in the Wlamir Marques Gymnasium, starting at 8pm (Brasília time).

As mentioned, each team won a game in the series, with Pinheiros winning the first and Corinthians the second – already at Parque São Jorge. As the tournament has best of three games, whoever wins two matches is qualified. For having the best campaign in the first phase, the People's Team had the advantage of deciding at home.

Possible lineup

The team coached by Jece Leite is well set and the initial lineup should be maintained for this Thursday's decisive match. Thus, the starting quintet should include Elinho Corazza, Davaunta Thomas, Rafael Munford, Victão and Gabriel Novaes (Lucas Cauê).

The entity has not yet announced, but the match's broadcast should take place on the Paulista Basketball Federation (FPB) YouTube channel, as it happened throughout the tournament, with image and narration for free – click HERE to access.

Next commitment

If they win the decisive game, Corinthians' next challenge is against Mogi Basketball, which has already secured its place in the semifinals after beating Paulistano in the previous phase. On the other hand, if they lose, Timão will have a hiatus before starting the New Basketball Brazil (NBB), which is scheduled for October.
