Corinthians have rejected Milan's bid for André Luiz, worth up to 17 million euros, as below their valuation. The deal will not proceed on those terms.
R7 reports the bid was 15 million euros plus 2 million in add-ons for the 70% of his economic rights held by Corinthians, with the player waiving his remaining percentage. President Osmar Stabile said no agreement was signed and denied any sale.
He added that neither his electronic signature nor that of legal director Pedro Soares was supplied, which stopped completion. The club believes a future sale could bring higher figures.
The approach came in the week of the 1-1 draw at Cruzeiro on 25 February at the Mineirão, in round four. The board had already declined and told Dorival Júnior the player would stay. The news only emerged on Saturday and drew some criticism.
Dorival said the youngster was returning from a serious injury when he first noticed his qualities, and staff prepared him for almost three months before introducing him. He wants André to stay to mature and give Corinthians a technical return.
André made his debut in September 2025 in a 1-0 win over Fluminense under Dorival. He has since played 24 times, with 10 starts, and scored four goals, taking a larger role this year.
He now prepares for Corinthians' next game, against Coritiba on 11 March at the Neo Química Arena, in round five of the Brasileiro.
