Corinthians Women win sixth straight Brasileirão, 21st title overall

Corinthians made history again this Sunday by winning the 2025 Women's Brazilian Championship. In front of more than 40,000 fans at the Neo Química Arena, the black and white team beat Cruzeiro 1-0 and lifted their seventh national trophy of the competition. This is also the club's 21st title since the reactivation of women's football in 2016.

From then to now, ten years have passed in an impressive sequence: the Brabas have never ended a season without at least one trophy, achieving an average of more than two titles per year.

In 2025, under the command of Lucas Piccinato, Timão had started the season with the runner-up in the Supercup of Brazil, but redeemed themselves with the Brasileirão title. The team is still seeking three more victories this year: Paulistão, Copa do Brasil, and Libertadores. For Piccinato, this Sunday's triumph represented his fourth trophy with Corinthians.

Before him, the team was led by Arthur Elias, a coach who left his mark at Parque São Jorge and left the club at the end of 2023 with 17 titles won. Currently, Arthur is in charge of the Brazilian Women's National Team.

The victorious journey of the Brabas began in 2016, right in the year of the reactivation of the sport, with the conquest of the Copa do Brasil over São José. In 2017, with the same base reinforced by names like Lelê and Yasmim, came the first Libertadores of America, won against Colo-Colo (Chile) after eliminating teams from Paraguay, Bolivia, and Colombia.

The first Brasileirão came in 2018, against Rio Preto, while the debut in state conquests only happened in 2019, with the Paulistão title over São Paulo. In the same year, Corinthians lost the Brasileiro final to Ferroviária, but took revenge in the Libertadores, winning the continental championship precisely over the team from Araraquara.

From there, the club established absolute hegemony in Brazilian women's football: 2020: two more titles; 2021 and 2022: three trophies each season; 2023: four victories, crowning a perfect year with all possible trophies; 2024: already under Piccinato, came three more victories: the Supercup of Brazil (tri), the Brasileirão (hexa), and the Libertadores (penta).
