Coventry City have been encouraged to appoint Sean Dyche, rather than John Eustace if Frank Lampard returns to Chelsea
Frank Lampard is on the brink of leading Coventry City to the Premier League, and his strong managerial exploits haven't gone unnoticed.
The Sky Blues have been the best team in the Championship this term, and will be crowned second-tier champions barring a dramatic slip-up in the closing stages of the campaign.
Lampard's men are by far the highest scorers in the league, and can enjoy playing free-flowing football between now and the end of the season.
Coventry will soon turn their attention to strengthening their squad in the summer transfer window ahead of next term's Premier League campaign.

While Lampard is doing a great job at Coventry, Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior, previously of Hull City, is under increasing pressure, meaning that the Stamford Bridge outfit may look to appoint a new manager this summer.
The former England midfielder established legendary status as a player for the West Londoners, but his two managerial stints in charge of the Blues were less successful.
As reported by Football Insider, Coventry have eyed John Eustace as a Lampard replacement, if the 47-year-old returns to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
Eustace has made Derby County serious play-off contenders at the business end of the Championship campaign.
Meanwhile, Football League World asked our Sky Blues fan pundit, Chris Deez, if he thinks the Rams boss would be an adequate replacement for Lampard, and if he had what it takes at Premier League level.
Deez told FLW: "Every time Chelsea go through a little bit of a rough patch, they get linked to Frank Lampard again, so I'm not particularly worried.
"There was also a lot of talk about Lampard going to Crystal Palace at the end of the season, that seems to have died down and been pretty much confirmed as not happening.
"I'm not particularly worried about Lampard going anywhere. I know obviously he's got that deep affection for Chelsea, he's a club legend. But he's already managed there twice, and it didn't work out either time, although he did do a very good job when they were under the (transfer) embargo and (in the) Champions League group stage.
"I don't feel like he's in any rush to go back there a third time when they're under very different ownership now, aren't they? Under (Roman) Abramovich, at least he had that relationship, they were known to each other.
"They had that trust, they had that existing bond. I feel like, under their new ownership, Chelsea are an absolute mess. Still a great team, can still sign pretty much any player in the world that they want.
"But they're not Lampard's Chelsea anymore. He has broken so many records with Cov. He's getting us back to the promised land for the first time in 25 years. I don't see why he would want to leave at the moment.
"I think he's going to want to have, not just a go at keeping us in the Premier League, but also trying to prove the doubters and prove the haters wrong, prove that he is a Premier League standard manager.
"Stay with us for a season, if he keeps us up, fair play. If he then moves on, I wouldn't blame him. If it's true that John Eustace's name has come up as a potential target for if Lampard does leave, that worries me a little bit.
"I like Eustace, he's done a fantastic job at Derby, he was doing a great job with Blackburn as well. Loved him as a player. He's a local as well, it'd be nice to see him here.
"I wanted him to get the job before Lampard got it. But I feel like now, with where we are at, the squad that we've built, the aspirations that we've got, all that money coming in. I don't think Eustace is the man that I would want us to be led by in the Premier League.
"He has no experience of it, either. Lampard may have failed, to put it loosely, but at least he's got Premier League experience. If we were to let go of Lampard, really I'd want to be looking at someone like Sean Dyche.
"I don't know if he would come here. I think it would be a good job for him. He knows exactly how to win dirty, knows how to win boring, but he knows how to keep teams out of relegation battles.
"If he would come here, if we could pay him enough money, if we could support him enough, Dyche would be my choice."

It is no surprise that Lampard's fantastic exploits at Coventry have attracted attention from elsewhere, especially from Chelsea, where the 47-year-old remains a hero.
However, as alluded to by Deez, the ex-Manchester City midfielder has already struggled in the dugout at Stamford Bridge, and should instead be keen on seeing what he can do in charge of the Sky Blues in the top flight.
FLW's Coventry fan pundit is right that Dyche would be more likely to keep the CBS Arena side in the Premier League than Eustace, but the likelihood is that Lampard will stay.
