Duda Fournier emotional as Lucas Paquetá returns to Flamengo | OneFootball

Lucas Paquetá arrived in Rio de Janeiro to sign for Flamengo, greeting supporters at Galeão airport. His wife, Duda Fournier, was visibly moved by the reception.

"It was everything. Seeing him like this, embracing the fans, I have no words. He needed this, our family needed this," Duda Fournier said. She told Coluna Do Fla.

Paquetá will now head to CT Ninho do Urubu to complete the final steps of the deal.

In May 2024, the FA accused him of attempting to manipulate betting by forcing yellow cards in four Premier League games, against Leicester City, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Bournemouth. The FA sought a ban, but the Regulatory Commission ruled there was insufficient evidence, and on 31 July 2025 he was cleared of the charges. The process affected him mentally, and he asked to return to Flamengo.

He is due to undergo medical tests on Thursday 29. If he passes, he will sign a five-year contract with Flamengo.

Flamengo face Corinthians in the Supercopa do Brasil on Sunday 01 at 16:00 Brasília time, at Estádio Mané Garrincha in Brasília. The club hope to have Paquetá available.
