Manchester United have significantly improved their attacking output this season, following a splurge in the frontline last summer. Where the Red Devils managed just 44 goals in 38 Premier League games last season, they have already plundered 47 goals in 26 league games this campaign.
After finishing 15th in the league last season and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur, United quickly identified the attack as one of their major weaknesses. An overhaul was subsequently planned, with Alejandro Garnacho and Antony offloaded permanently, while Rasmus Hojlund, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho were sent out on loan.
INEOS subsequently invested over £200 million in a new-look attacking trident. Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha were signed from Brentford and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively, bringing much-needed Premier League experience.
Meanwhile, United also signed Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig to address their No. 9 position. The Red Devils are now reaping the benefits of their decision.
Mbeumo has been a revelation so far, registering 10 goals and two assists in 22 appearances in all competitions, all but one of which have been starts. Meanwhile, Cunha has also been impressive, racking up six goals and two assists from 25 games so far.
Sesko endured a slow start to his time in the English top flight, especially under former head coach Ruben Amorim. However, since the Portuguese’s departure, the Slovenian has been in rejuvenated form, and has now registered seven goals and one assist from 23 outings.
Elsewhere, another new signing, Senne Lammens, has also been sensational in between the sticks and is now the established No. 1 for United. The English giants are expected to turn their attention to the midfield this summer, with Casemiro set to depart at the end of the season.
However, it now appears that the Red Devils are also ready to add more firepower to their attack before the start of the new season.
According to Fichajes, United are the favourites to sign Endrick this summer. The Red Devils were also linked with the Brazilian forward ahead of January, but a move failed to materialise.
Endrick initially arrived at Real Madrid in the summer of 2024, but struggled to break into the starting XI. He joined Lyon on a six-month loan in the winter transfer window and has already scored five goals in six games for the Ligue 1 giants.

United are pleased with his efforts so far and are ready to take him to the Premier League. It is believed that Los Blancos are also open to the 19 year old’s departure, although the entire operation is likely to be a costly affair.
United are planning to convince Endrick’s entourage by proposing a clear plan that would allow him to secure regular game time to aid his development. The Red Devils are convinced that the player’s pace and trickery could make him a hit in England, and believe he could help them reach a higher level next season.
The report adds that the teenager is ready to test himself in the Premier League and is open to a move to Old Trafford. Real Madrid, meanwhile, are ready to take advantage of the Brazilian’s resurgence in France, which has helped improve his stock.
Endrick could be a fantastic addition to United’s squad, especially if Joshua Zirkzee ends up leaving this summer. However, United are preparing to invest heavily in midfield, which is their priority this summer, and it is unclear if they will have the funds to complete a deal for the Brazilian.
