‘Estevao is a magical player’ – Badiashile on Brazilian youngster | OneFootball

Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile has backed youngster Estevao to have a big impact at the club for years to come.

The young Brazilian came on in the second half to the loudest roar of the night from the home fans, and within minutes plucked a ball out from high in the sky and killed it dead to set Chelsea on a counter-attack.

He has been exciting the home faithful since the start of the season and it seems he elicits the same reaction from his teammates.

Speaking after the game, Benoît Badiashile said: “Estevao is a magic player. He will make a big difference for us over the next few years. We are really happy to have him with us. He’s really good.”

The home fans were chanting throughout the night for the visiting manager Jose Mourinho, who of course managed at Stamford Bridge during two separate spells and won three Premier League titles.

And Badiashile did not find it strange that the fans were chanting for the opposing manager: “It’s normal. Jose Mourinho is a great coach who did really well here. So it’s normal.”
