Jadon Sancho has “accepted” a proposal from Fenerbahce with the Super Lig side set to “begin negotiations” with Manchester United imminently, according to a report from Turkey.
INEOS are desperate to sell Sancho this summer as he will return from Chelsea this month after the Blues chose to pay a £5 million penalty to annul the obligation to buy clause in their loan deal for the 25-year-old winger.
Sancho could not agree personal terms with Chelsea with the West London club unwilling to match his wage packet at United, believed to be worth in excess of £25 million.
Sancho has one year remaining on his deal at Old Trafford but the Reds retain the option to extend this by twelve months. Neither the player nor the club want this, however, with Sancho actively exploring alternative options to secure a permanent exit this summer.
Italy had rapidly emerged as the frontrunner with both Napoli and Juventus making advances to sign the winger. Serie A offers a slower, more technical style which lends itself more favourably to Sancho’s profile than the breakneck speed of English football.
However, there is also strong interest from Turkey with Galatasaray joining their rival joining their rival Fenerbahce in the hunt for Sancho.
But it’s Jose Mourinho’s side who have struck first in the red-hot race by reaching an agreement with Sancho on a contract worth around €10 million annually, according to Turkish outet Sabah Spor.

“The Yellow Canaries will begin negotiations with Manchester United. The transfer is expected to conclude positively.”
The report reveals Fenerbahce will now “begin negotiations” with United and there is expectation a deal will “conclude positively.”
Footballers are taxed considerably more in the United Kingdom compared to Turkey. This means the Yellow Canaries can offer Sancho a wage packet worth less than his one at United but the 25-year-old still take home a comparable amount.
United are thought to be hoping to receive a comparable transfer fee to the one agreed with Chelsea, worth £25 million, but the Red Devils are likely to compromise on this if it seals a permanent departure for a player with no prospect of a future under Ruben Amorim.
