First internationals back on the pitch

The Eagles are returning to day-to-day Bundesliga business and the players to the training ground. Preparations for Leverkusen have begun.

The training group was still quite thin on the ground because of the first FIFA international period of the season. Although the likes of Nnamdi Collins, Can Uzun and Michy Batshuayi reported for duty, Robin Koch, Arthur Theate and Ritsu Doan were not yet back on the pitch having been heavily involved for their countries on Sunday.

The Eagles will train in Frankfurt again on Wednesday and Thursday before heading to Leverkusen. The floodlights will be on at the BayArena on Friday as Eintracht and the hosts kick off Matchday 3 of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season at 20:30 CEST.
