Something unusual is happening at Anfield and it centers on Mohamed Salah the man who's defined Liverpool’s modern era and terrorised Premier League defences for 7 straight season.

The Egyptian icon's scored just 3 goal in 10 match this season and none in his last 4 appearance as questions grow over whether his influence is fading.

The dip's coincided with Liverpool’s own stumbles. 3 consecutive defeat before the October international break cost them top spot in the PL raising alarm bells among supporters.

But according to club legend Jamie Carragher, salah’s struggles are deeper than simple bad form and rooted in 4 major issue.

1- Emotional weight: Jota’s death

Carragher revealed in The Telegraph that Salah's still processing the emotional shock of Diogo Jota’s death in car accident before the season began.

For 7 season, Salah’s most productive partnership was with Trent Alexander Arnold on the right flank. The full back’s departure to Real Madrid's left creative void and Salah hasn’t yet built similar chemistry with new teammates.

This season alone, he’s played alongside 4 different right back (Conor Bradley, Jeremie Frimpong, Dominik Szoboszlai , Wataru Endo) disrupting the rhythm that once defined his game.

3- A tactical shift under Slot

New coach Arne Slot's implemented more open system that allows opponents greater space particularly down Liverpool’s right side.

Salah's receiving the ball in less dangerous positions and is forced to work deeper rather than arriving in the box at the perfect moment.

4- A clinical edge gone missing

Perhaps the most worrying factor's simply execution. Salah's missed 3 clear chance including potential match winners against Chelsea and his once lethal finishing has deserted him.
