Giuliano Galoppo, a River Plate midfielder, could face a six-month suspension if he fails to settle payments to his former representative by 19 February. According to SuperDepor.com, the dispute involves Leandro Nicolás Escudero.
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee ratified the decision, which aligns with an earlier Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling. It obliges Galoppo to pay around 770,000 dollars, a figure that includes interest and currency conversions.
The breakdown includes 530,000 dollars plus 12% annual interest calculated from August 2022, 360,000 pesos plus interest, and a further 4.47 million pesos.
The ruling also stipulates a payment of 5,000 Swiss francs to his representative and the same amount to FIFA as a disciplinary fine.
Galoppo, 26, joined River in January 2025 and has made 38 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
