Serie A side Roma have stepped up their efforts to sign Feyenoord’s Givairo Read on a permanent transfer this summer.

A report by Corriere dello Sport reveals that the next 24 hours are set to be decisive in negotiations between Roma and Feyenoord as Givairo Read has an agreement on personal terms with the Italian club. The Dutchman has accepted a salary of €2 million net per season plus bonuses, a contract which he will be ready to sign as soon as the Giallorossi seal an agreement on transfer fees with Feyenoord

Roma sporting director Tony D’Amico is leading talks with the Eredivisie outfit, and has sent a final offer of €29 million after receiving Read’s approval.

Roma no longer want to prolong negotiations, and therefore, Feyenoord now have a deadline to respond to. Both parties remain locked in finding a solution to the saga.

After securing the services of Read, D’Amico is expected to move for RB Leipzig’s Antonio Nusa.
