Roma are on the verge of securing Givairo Read from Feyenoord after offering €25m plus €4m in add-ons, beating Nottingham Forest to the punch.

They are believed to be discussing the intricacies of payment schedules and formulas, which are the final pieces that need to be put in place before he is given permission to fly out for a medical.
The asking price was €30m, and Roma have reached €29m including add-ons.
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini is reported to have spoken to Read personally to convince him of the project, after Roma qualified for the Champions League.
The personal terms were already agreed, a five-year contract at €2m per season net plus performance-related bonuses, according to the Corriere dello Sport.
Read celebrated his 20th birthday in June and plays as a right-back, but can also work on the left.
Considering Gasperini’s tactics, he will be in a more advanced role as a wing-back.
