Grêmio reject Nacional-URU bid for Cristian Olivera | OneFootball

Grêmio have rejected Nacional-URU’s approach for Cristian Olivera, judging the terms far below expectations. According to Globo.com, the offer was a one-year loan with an option to buy at the end of the contract.

It is the only formal proposal the club have received for the 23-year-old forward. Bahia have shown interest but have not submitted a bid.

Last Wednesday, Nacional-URU vice-president Flavio Perchman said the deal was close. “Sim, vai jogar no Nacional. Um empréstimo e uma opção de compra”, he told the programme Warda con Estos on Aweno TV.

By Friday, Olivera had accepted Nacional-URU’s proposal and had moved to Uruguay. With talks stalling, he is expected back in Porto Alegre for the squad’s 2 January return.

Olivera is under contract with Grêmio until December 2027. Signed in 2025, he was the club’s most expensive signing of the season alongside Wagner Leonardo, at 4.5 million dollars, around R$ 25.6 million at the time.
