Harry Kane “seduced” by Barcelona interest, will listen to summer offer | OneFootball

Barcelona are determined to sign a top-level striker this summer, as they seek replace the departed Robert Lewandowski. They are still pushing hard to bring in Julian Alvarez, but if Atletico Madrid continue to insist that they will not sell their prized asset to a direct rival, the Catalans will be forced to look elsewhere – which they are already starting to do.

In the last 48 hours, Barcelona have been strongly linked to two Alvarez alternatives: Eli Junior Kroupi and Harry Kane. Of the two, the latter is the preferred option, given that he is already established as one of the best number nines in world football, although he does appear to be committed to Bayern Munich, with whom he is still contracted for another season.

Bayern are in the process of trying to tie down Kane to a new deal, and while the belief is that this will happen, Barcelona look to have a window of opportunity. According to Sport, the 32-year-old England striker is “seduced” by the idea of moving to the Spotify Camp Nou, and as such, he is no longer as convinced to stay in Bavaria.

Why is Kane attracted to Barcelona move?

As per the report, Kane has multiple reasons for being tempted by Barcelona. One of them is Lamine Yamal, with the Bayern man said to be very keen on the idea of playing alongside the teenage sensation, while he also considers a move to Catalonia to be an “extraordinary challenge in a league that appeals to him”, with a “project with which he could finally win the Champions League”.

Kane would arguably be the best possible option that Barcelona could sign this summer – even more so than Alvarez. For now, no decision on either player will be made until after the 2026 World Cup, at which point there will be more clarity.
