São Paulo head coach Hernán Crespo acknowledged negotiations involving Alisson with Corinthians, explaining his omission from Thursday’s game against São Bernardo. He played in the 3-0 defeat to Mirassol in the opener but was left out the next match.

Crespo said the market is moving and that Alisson, like others, could depart while arrivals are also possible. ge.globo reports that the clubs are discussing either a player swap or a fixed-fee deal, and that a list of makeweights from Corinthians did not convince São Paulo.

Corinthians have monitored Alisson since the start of the month, and Dorival Júnior confirmed interest after the 3-0 loss to Red Bull Bragantino, stressing respect for the rival and ongoing dialogue between directors.

Alisson is under contract at Morumbi until December 2027. Dorival previously reinvented him at São Paulo in 2023, using him in midfield across 48 games and winning the Copa do Brasil. In 2025 he lost space but still made 52 appearances, recording one goal and two assists.

Corinthians have announced the signing of centre-back Gabriel Paulista and have moved towards agreements for Matheus Pereira on a one-year loan with an option to buy, as well as right-back Pedro Milans, 23, now a free agent after leaving Peñarol, and Al Hilal forward Kaio César. The club have also enquired about Fortaleza goalkeeper João Ricardo.

São Paulo visit Corinthians on Sunday at 16:00 at Neo Química Arena in the third round of the Campeonato Paulista.
