Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder has claimed West Brom are in a 'false position' after the Baggies held his side to a draw at Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder believes Championship strugglers West Bromwich Albion are in a 'false position', following a 1-1 draw between the sides at Bramall Lane on Saturday.
The Blades took the lead in the contest just after the break when George Campbell turned the ball into his own net, but would earn his side a point by scoring in the right net half an hour later.
United were one of the form sides in the second tier heading into the fixture, but were left frustrated after being held to a draw by West Brom, who haven't won a league game since December 29th.
This proved to be an important point for the Baggies, who had to get something on the board after relegation rivals Oxford United and Leicester City both picked up points in their respective games.
After the match, Sheffield United boss Wilder issued an interesting claim on Albion, telling the Express and Star that he believes James Morrison' side were in a 'false position' in the Championship table.

Sheffield United and West Brom are two clubs who are on very different trajectories, with the former looking to make up ground on the play-off places, whilst the latter fight desperately to avoid the drop, and record their first league win this calendar year.
Despite this, Saturday's contest between the two sides ended in a stalemate, after Baggies defender Campbell cancelled out his own goal with an excellent strike with less than ten minutes left on the clock, earning his team a crucial point in their survival bid.
After the match, Wilder was left rueing his side's missed chances, but gave his opponents credit for their improved second-half display, claiming West Brom have a group of players who are in a 'false position' in the Championship.
The Blades boss told the Express and Star post-match: "We didn't deserve to win the game, in my opinion.
"I've said it before, they have got players that are in a false position for the quality of their group, so you have to respect that, but we have to be better.
"It is possibly one of the most frustrating afternoons of the season since I have come back," Wilder concluded.

Whilst a single point isn't the perfect outcome for West Brom, who now have Oxford breathing down their neck as well as Leicester, it's certainly something they can build on ahead of the run-in.
Wilder's claim about the squad they've got being in a 'false position' on paper is true when you look at their squad on paper, but doesn't mean that the Baggies are immune to relegation by any stretch of the imagination.
The Midlands-based club are still without a league win in 2026 and firmly in the thick of a relegation battle, but a solid point and away performance against one of the form teams in the division gives Morrison something to build on.
The Albion interim boss will hope that Wilder's claim turns out to be true, and his side can continue to collect vital points, which will go a long way towards avoiding the drop after Oxford cranked up the pressure this weekend.
