Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has reacted to the latest defeat that Chelsea endured this weekend.
We know that Carragher is probably one of Chelsea’s biggest critics under the current ownership, and to be honest even many Chelsea fans have been agreeing with a lot of what he has been saying lately, as hard as that must be.
Carragher dislikes Chelsea, that for me is clear, but he has actually made some decent points this season on the big squad rebuild, the money that has been spent, and whether they are even ready to be challenging for the Premier League and Champions League and if not, why not after spending all that money?
The Blues lost 3-1 to Brighton at home on Saturday afternoon after defender Trevoh Chalobah got a red card early in the second half. Manager Enzo Maresca made some very odd substitutions that were very negative and saw criticism from Chelsea fans.
Chelsea have sent out a load of media briefings as a vote of confidence to manager Enzo Maresca in an attempt to calm down noise about him being under pressure right now.

Jamie Carragher has been making it clear that he believes Enzo Maresca’s squad lacks experience.
The Sky Sports pundit said: “How long will the rebuild after Abramovich last? At what point will they realize the need to buy ready-made, established stars who can take the team from fourth place to first, combining youth with experience?”

I honestly don’t see anything wrong with what he’s said here, it’s a good point. Where is the balance? Surely now this season, after spending so much, they want to be challenging for the biggest titles!?
